Thomas Quinton Obituary

Thomas Guy Quinton, 90, of Summerville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on October 29, 2025. Thomas was born on January 14, 1935, in Great Falls, South Carolina, the son of the late Thomas Neily Quinton and Amy Baker Quinton. Tom served his country in the United States Air Force for 21 years and 10 months, dedicating his life to honor, service, and country. After his military career, he worked and retired from Cummins Motor Company. He was married to the late Mrs. Judith Quinton for 47 years until her passing in 2004. Tom was a member of Lydia Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon for many years. He found joy in spending time outdoors, caring for his yard, and enjoying a round of golf. He also loved watching and reading about old westerns. Tom will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, loyal friend, and proud veteran who loved God, his country, and the people around him. He is survived by his loving children: Tammie Springfield, Lisa Cousins (Dean), and Marci Quinton; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; as well as a sister, Jayne Moss. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judith Quinton; his parents; his seven siblings; as well as a son in law, Tim Springfield. His funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, beginning at 12:00pm in the Chapel of James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Burial will immediately follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
