Thomas Minor Obituary

Thomas Minor SUMMERVILLE - Thomas Minor, 67, of Summerville, SC, widower of Oknam Minor, died Monday, July 7, 2014 at a Charleston area hospital. A graveside service will be held Monday morning, July 14, 2014 in Summerville Cemetery at 10 o'clock. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Rockville, MD 20852. Mr. Minor was born June 18, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY. He was a son of Grant and Bessie Berry Minor. Mr. Minor was a US Army Veteran and served in Viet Nam. Survivors include one son, Charles R. Parker and wife Patricia of Ladson, SC; one sister, Cheryl Minor of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Destiny Parker and Shane Parker; and two brothers, Carlton Minor of Orlando, FL and Grant Minor of Albion, NY. Thomas was a fine man. We always looked forward to when he would come to our house. He could cheer up a brick. We have just today learned of his homegoing. The world will be a lesser place with his absence. Our sincere condolences and sympathies to the family.
