Thomas Hartwell King MONCKS CORNER - Thomas Hartwell King, 66, husband of Jean Brown King, of Moncks Corner, died Saturday, November 20, 2010. Born February 3, 1944, in Hartsville, SC, he was the son of the late John C. King and Geneva Boan King. He served his country proudly having been in the Army in Germany, serving as a Combat Engineer during the Vietnam era. He worked as a project manager with Limehouse and Frampton and was a member of the local VFW. He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny W. King, his sister, Lula Mae McShirley and his sister-in-law Faye King. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years; his daughter, Susan White (Alan) of Goose Creek; his brothers, Richard C. King and Robert L. King (Rita), all of Hartsville, SC; his brother-in-law, Eddie Brown (Jackie) of Spartanburg; his sisters, Mildred Corley of San Bernadino, CA, Loretta Overcast (Charles) of Hazel, TN; his sister-in-law, Janet Lucas( Mike) of Moncks Corner; his grandson, Paul A. Bailey, II and his great-grandson, Bradley Allen Michael Bailey; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Monday, November 22, 2010, at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 869 ST. JAMES AVE. Funeral service will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, November 23, 2010, in the chapel of the funeral home with private burial to follow at Beaufort National Cemetery.
