Thomas and I were fellow Board members of the SC Perpetual Care Cemetery Board since it was re-established in 2003. We usually set together because we held similar views on justice and equality for all South Carolina citizens. I enjoyed our conversations and commitment for 'doing the right thing' in protecting the general public. He will be missed as a strong componet to our Board.
Blessings to his family and friends.

To Carolyn and family, the entire community feels your loss. Thomas worked long and hard to improve Charleston, James Island, and the protection of slave graves all over South Carolina. I treasured his thoughtful comments about politics and people. His pride over his family's service in the military and other communities always made him smile. Thank you for sharing this great man with so many.

I want to exdend my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Thomas Johnson a man I met via the Dill Cemetery Perpetual Care Group. Although I only met and talked with Mr. Johnson a few times, I liked and respected him for his beliefs and actions. It was clear that his family, friends, and his community meant a great deal to him.
