To the Garrett Family:

While watching a television program set in Charleston, I decided (on a whim) to Google "Tommy & Helen Garrett" only to learn of their passing, most recently your dad's.

I've not seen either in over 30 years and my last contact with Tommy was about five years ago. But I thought of both so often and, when I learned of Helen's declining health, held both in my prayers. Tommy was my boss at TAG, Inc. from roughly 1974 to 1976; I was his secretary. And, he and Helen acted as my daughter's "proxy" godparents at her baptism in the late fall of 1976.

I learned so much from Tommy during this very long friendship - he was a true entrepreneur and a true Southern gentleman - who was both generous with his time and ideas. I consider myself to have been blessed to have worked with him and enjoy his friendship. And, Helen was always the gracious lady.

Please know that your parents will always be in my prayers. God bless you and your children --

To the Garrett Gang-I ran into Tommy on Wednesday the 19th and he told me about your dad. My 2nd granddaughter was born on the 17th, so I haven't looked at a paper in a while! Just wanted to let yall know that I'm thinking of yall and will keep you in my prayers. I'm sure he is at peace and reunited with your mom again. Take care and God Bless each one of you.
