Thomas Gardner Obituary

I was his neighbor when I bought the house across the street. He was so kind in welcoming me to the neighborhood. I invited him over for margaritas & guacamole on my patio. He told me many things & stories about his life. I was just fascinated by all the things he had done. I had never met anyone with such a long list of accomplishments. He was truly a kind soul & I miss him dearly.

My prayers go out to Tom's family. Even though I hadn't seen Tom in years, our Sidney High School class seem like friends. May the kind words about Tom comfort you in the loss of your dad.

Dear papa Tom, I wish I could come to the funeral, but I am too far away. I called daddy and talked to him & he said to stay strong. I love you with all my heart. I miss you. Say hi to Mema for me. I didn't know him long but must say he was truly a kind soul & will be sorely missed. He certainly made an impression on me & there will never be another like him. My heartfelt condolences to his family & loved ones.

It was a blessing and a pleasure to have known Tom. As a hospital employee, I can say that our volunteers truly help make St Francis a special place and Tom was a special man. My sympathies to his family and loved ones.

To Ken & Billy, Please accept my condolences in the passing of your Father. Tom was a wonderful man and neighbor. Very quiet and easygoing person. Tom & Alice has been neighbors for years and our children grow up together. I saw Tom on Thursday at the mailbox getting his email and to know that only a couple of days later he's gone. God comes quickly and His reward is with Him. Remember that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
