Uncle Tom,

Every time you would see me you would always ask, "Alicia, have you made your first million yet?" Sadly, I haven't made my first million but I did run my first marathon this past Sunday (11/6). I thought of you often along the course with memories of visiting you and Aunt Kathy in Virgina along with the crazy holidays with Nan and Pop Pop in Phoenx Park.

Since making a million is still out of reach I am hoping 26.2 counts as my 'million'. :)

Thanks for being a great Uncle and for always being so supportive and encouraging. You will be greatly missed by all of us.

All my love,

Alicia Stansbury

On behalf of the Charleston Animal Society, I want to thank you for asking for donations in lieu of flowers in honor of Tom. His kind hearted nature and love of animals has left a void on this earth and I am sure in your hearts. Your kind gesture in honor of His memory will leave a legacy of hope for the homeless animals in our community and throughout the State. We are extremely saddened by your loss and hope that knowing that his memory will be helping so many animals is a small comfort to you. Thanks so much! For the animals I am, Kay Hyman, director of Community Engagement

Kat and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Tom opened his heart to everyone he met. What a kind and generous friend. He never met a stranger that did not become a friend before the two departed. Hugs to all . Andi and Jon

I was devastated to hear the sad news. I knew Tommy growing up in our hometown of Minersville. He always had a smile for everyone he would meet & it made his Irish eyes twinkle. His Dad & my Dad (Pic Doyle) were childhood friends growing up from the same neighborhood in Phoenix Park. His Aunt, Sister Mary Jane is a dear friend of ours. May God Bless Tom's family during this very sad time in their lives. And may the Angels welcome Tommy & keep him close. Sincerest sympathy from ~ The Doyles ~

Kathy and family having spent 17 years in Alaska we have learned that the Alaskan Natives believe that although their family members may have passed that the spirit passes on into the northern lights in their final journey to their resting place. We pray that you remember Tom in all his love and join us in looking to the north and watching Tom meet up with Kitz, and Irene in their final journey. Tom will always be remembered, loved and never forgotten.
All our Love, Prayers.

I was fortunate enough to build a bike for Tom a few years ago while working at a shop in Charleston. I was saddened to hear he's no longer with us. A great guy who always had a smile on his face and made you feel like a friend.

RIP 'Hightide' Tom, you will be missed.
