Thomas "Tommy" John Dodds MT., PLEASANT - U.S. Army veteran and proud grandfather, (Tommy) Thomas John Dodds, born May 24, 1952 in Drogheda, Ireland, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living with laughter and football. After serving in the Army, Tommy settled in Mount Pleasant, SC and raised their children, Sean Ryan Dodds, and Audrey M. Dodds Morgan with his wife of 45 years, Maria Ibarra Dodds. His son-in-law, Trey Morgan and grandchildren Tessa Morgan, Tyler Morgan and Leah Morgan will miss Tommy, as will many extended family members. After working over 30 years for the telephone company, being a local and building neighborhood friendships, you can't go far without someone knowing Tommy. His love of sports, classic music, chatting on the porch, and spoiling his grandkids will forever live in our hearts. We were better for calling him husband, father, Pappy and friend. Thomas John Dodds' Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in Christ Our King Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Interment with military honors will follow at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
