Thomas Corn Obituary

Thomas M. Corn, Sr. Summerville - Thomas M. Corn, Sr., Mickey to some, Opa to many, and Dad to children, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ark of South Carolina located at 502 West 5th North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Mickey was born on April 22, 1943 in Hendersonville, North Carolina the son of the late Norman and Thelma Corn. Mickey entered the U.S. Air Force right after high school and was responsible for refueling bombers in the air during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He later worked at the Naval Shipyard as a Superintendent, scheduling the repair and maintenance of nuclear submarines, until the base closed. He took pride in getting the job done under budget and ahead of schedule. He was a Mason and Shriner. He also enjoyed golfing in his free time and spending time with his family. He was a quiet humble soul and his wife's hero. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. He was a kind, gentle, fun loving, devoted man and always wore a smile. He will "Absolutely" always be in everyone's heart. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Margaret Surles Corn of 60 years, are: Children: Thomas Michael Corn, Jr. of Alpharetta, Georgia, David Mark Corn (Jodie) of Summerville, SC; Grandchildren: Dustin Corn, Sarah Corn, Jaclynn Robey, Jarod Smith: Great-Grandchildren: Peyton Wickline, Olivia Robey and Brycon Mcilnay. Brother: Patrick Lee Corn of Tennessee. He is predeceased by his parents, Norman and Thelma Corn and his brother, Norman F.
