Thomas H. Burt December 27, 1926 - November 1, 2010 SATELLITE BEACH, FL— Thomas H. Burt, Major US Army, Ret. 83 passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 peacefully at his residence surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Detroit, MI on December 27, 1926, Tom was raised in Columbus, GA and graduated from Columbus High School he went on to graduate from West Point. After retirement from the Army Tom taught at Florida Air Academy and Brevard County Schools, One of his favorite hobbies was sailing with frequent trips to the Bahamas. He is survived by his son Thomas R H Burt and his wife Candace and his daughter Dorothy Anne Burt; loving friends Anita and Chris Jackson. Tom is preceded in death by his son James Harden Burt. There will be a memorial service held at 2pm on Thursday, November 4 at Florida Memorial Funeral Home.
