Thomas Bruce Obituary
Born in Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late Claude Bruce and Elsie Roberts Bruce. Mr. Bruce was an electrical foreman for the University of Georgia, and he retired with 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the United States Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings: Margaret Ann Gozzola, Mildred Adcock, Marjorie Roberts and Frances Giles.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita R. Bruce; five children: Patricia B. Williams (Paul), Ronald "Ronny" Bruce (Pam), Kathy B. Waggoner (Ken), Thomas Calvin Bruce Jr. (Bonnie) and Judy Bruce Carter (Ed); two siblings: Carlton Bruce and Dorothy "Dot" Bruce; ten grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East with Bruce Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dustin Williams, Cole Williams, Dustin Warren, Michael Bruce, Kris Middleton, David Lorren and Michael Elder. The family will receive friends Monday, May 2, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted.
