Theodore Walters Obituary

Theodore Dehone Walters ANDREWS, SC - Theodore Dehone "TD" Walters, 82, the beloved husband of Delores Jacqueline "Jackie" Blakely Walters, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, March 15, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Walters was born the son of Harry Dehone Walters and Myrtle Ruth Flowers Walters on April 8, 1929 in Williamsburg County. He was retired from Rappahannock Wire and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. T.D and Jackie were married on March 23, 1951 and celebrated 60 years together. Their family was blessed with: two children, Ken (Gail) Walters, and Karen (Ricky) Thomas; five grandchildren, Christian (Laura) Walters, Allison (William) Newton, Blake Walters, Lindsay Thomas, and Kathryn Walters; and one great grandchild, Elliott Walters. He also leaves behind: two sisters, Barbara Dell Hurst and Harriett (Elwood) Powell; two brothers, Douglas (Lynn) Walters and Harry "Boodie" (Nadine) Walters; and fourteen nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Raymond Lee Walters; a granddaughter, Tracy Lynn Thomas; and a nephew, Harry Glenn Walters. A Service of Death and Resurrection with Military Honors will be 5 PM, Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Walters family will receive family and friends at a reception honoring Mr. Walters immediately following the service in the Family Life Center. A Committal Service will be held 11 AM, Monday, March 19, 2012 in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
