Themy Chakeris Obituary

so sorry to hear of Mr Chakeris passing. I send my condolences to his loving wife and children. i met him many years ago as i attended his practice after an automobile accident. What a great and witty man he was and wonderful personality

Themy was a thoughtful Nouno (Godfather) that kept in touch throughout my childhood and education to congratulate me on life's milestones and successes. I cherish the memories of he and Nena traveling all the way to Tampa, FL to celebrate my wedding. May his memory be eternal.

I became acquainted with Dr. Chakeris and Mrs. Nena on a professional basis, but it wasn't long before I considered them friends. During his periodic visits to his doctor's office where I was employed, I found him warm, endearing, and so likeable. I won't forget him.-------------Myra Merrill, RN

Regrettably, I did not meet Themy until he was already afflicted with cancer. Our conversations were brief and friendly. He seemed to enjoy my attempt at a military salute as I was leaving on one occasion. Little did I know the extent of his years of service to our country. Being a high school US history teacher for over 30 years, let alone the father and grandfather of military service men, I only wished I had greater opportunity to hear from Themy himself of his story. My heart goes out to his dear faithful wife, Nena, and members of his family. My prayer is that our loss of Themy will result in heaven's gain.

My heart is broken as I just heard the news of Dr. Themy's passing. I just mailed him a card this Monday I think. I cannot even express how much he was loved and adored by my family. I have a hundred memories of my mother Lucia and yoayia Virginia saying such nice things about him. He waa always kind, wise, supportive,encouraging, and joyful. A true gentleman and scholar. Miss Nena and family, you are in my prayers. May our Lord and his infinite mercy and comfort come upon you in your time of sorrow.May his memory be eternal.

Nina and family - I was so very sorry to learn of Themy's passing. You had 50 years together and the memories that go along with them. Themy earned many accolades in his practice for which the family can be so proud of. My condolences to you all.

Themy and Nena were such good friends of my Mother, Eloise Bryant Earl. When she got sick they were first to send a card and visit. I'll never forget their kindness.

I'm so sorry for the loss of this good man but have no doubt that he is sitting by the side of Mighty God right now.
