Thelma Bryson Fisher SUMMERVILLE - Thelma Christine Bryson Fisher, 93, entered eternal rest on December 3, 2016, lovingly surrounded by her children. Thelma was born on September 26, 1923, in Sylva, Jackson County, NC. She was the daughter of Robert Bryson and Sarah Wykle Bryson. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, William Harold Fisher, who lovingly called her his brown-eyed girl. She was a long-time member of Holmes Avenue Baptist Church and, later, of Friendship Baptist Church. Thelma is survived by her daughter, Vera F. Stanley (Donnie) of Huber, NC, and her son, Mike Fisher (Merrie) of Goose Creek; two sisters, Mary Bryson Parker and Jessie Bryson Cagle; one brother, Glenn Bryson, along with many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Jennifer Armstrong (Jerry), Jill Simpson (Bryan), Ryan Fisher (Sarah), and Shaun Ferguson (Jen), as well as her great-grandchildren, Kyle, Emily, Chase, Lindsey, Laurel, Nalla, Avery, Ellie, Patrick, and Sadie. Thelma loved her family deeply and was known for loving to shop, her beautiful clothes, and her sense of humor and fun. A private service and burial will be held with interment beside her husband at Carolina Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be sent to the charity of one's choice.
