MYERS, Terry SMOAKS - Mr. Terry Rhett Myers, 67 years of age, died December 17, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Myers was born July 17, 1941 in Colleton Co. a son of the late Tom Myers, and Bertha Warren Myers. He was the owner and operator of The Edisto Singles in Orangeburg, and was a lifelong resident of the community. Funeral services will be conducted Friday December 19, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. From the chapel of The Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, with the Rev. Bob Burdette and Rev. Robert Ethridge officiating. Burial will be in the Hagan Cemetery near Smoaks. Pallbearers will be Robert Myers, Warren Myers, Larry Myers, Ben Graham, Lauren Myers, and Jacob Carter. Survived by his loving wife of ten years, Margaret B. Myers. Two sons living in Smoaks, Terrance R. Myers (Karrie) grandchildren, Mark, Cody, McKayla, Jamie; Barry Scott Myers (Angela), grandchild, Justin; William Earl Jacobs (Nancy) grandchildren, Andy Nix (Wendy) of Norway, his great grandchildren, Laura, Abby, and Jacob, and Amy Mills (Jeff) of Irmo, and a daughter of Walterboro, April L. Beach (Robert) and grandchildren Elizabeth Lynn, and Ashley Lauren, and one step daughter, Teresa Fisk (Ray)of Bamberg, step grandchildren, Renee Crosby (Jeff), of Bamberg, step great grandchildren, Michal Bellamy and Bryson Hughes both of Bamberg, and one step great grandson, J.R. Fisk, a Sister, Patsy M. Graham (John) of Smoaks, one brother, McKline Myers (June) of Smoaks, Stepson, Kenny Dawson of Orangeburg, stepson, David Dawson (Lisa) of Orangeburg, son, Travis Dawson (Dena) of Orangeburg, stepdaughter, Tina gartman (Ronnie), and children Tabitha, Kevin, and Kayla, of Orangeburg, and stepdaughter Tonya Dawson and children, Scottie Folk, and Trea Dawson, and a number of nieces and nephews, and a special sister-in-law, Minnie and Hamp Edwins of St. Helena Island. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas L. Myers, Ronald W. Myers, Joseph M. Myers, one nephew Randy Myers, and one granddaughter, Alexis Angelic Myers. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 P.M. at The Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, and at other times at the residence.
