Terry Grillo Obituary

Terry Huges Grillo, 66, of Ladson, departed this life peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Born September 10, 1959, in England, Terry was the beloved daughter of Franciso Diaz and Joan Hughes Diaz. She began her career as a dispatcher for Checkered Taxi and later served as a curbside passenger service agent with Southwest Airlines at Charleston International Airport. Terry approached life with warmth, creativity, and a joyful spirit. Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she delighted in watching scary movies and crime shows. Her artistic flair shone through in acrylic painting and arts and crafts, and she was always on the lookout for the best clearance rack bargains. Terry's love of music was evident in her passion for singing karaoke and listening to golden oldies from the 1950s and 1960s. Most importantly, Terry cherished her role as the family babysitter, lovingly caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Terry was preceded in death by her sister Jeanette Middleton and her brother Frank Diaz. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Boyce and her husband Darrin of Ladson; her sons, Adam Grillo and his wife Heather of Ladson, and Paul Grillo and his wife Shannon of Moncks Corner; her parents, Franciso Diaz and Joan Hughes, of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren: Halie, Joseph, Anthony, Elizabeth, Aiden, Brantley, and Ellis; one great-grandchild, Maddox, and another expected soon. A celebration of life honoring Terry's memory will be held by her family at 3:00 PM Friday, October 17, 2025, at her son's residence, 251 Farrell Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. As we remember Terry, let us carry forward her legacy of kindness, artistic expression, and devotion to family. Her vibrant spirit and loving presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
