I don't know Terrell. I just lost my son Devonta Gathers. There is no pain like losing a child. I will pray for the family that God heals you'll broken hearts.

I am so saddened to hear about Terrell. I taught him when he was in the 8th grade at AMS. He was quite a character - always with a smile on his face and sure to grab everyone's attention. He made friends quickly even when arriving half way through the school year. It sickens and pains me that his life was cut short. I will be praying for you and for the youth of the Lowcountry.

You are family to me! TJ as I so affectionately called him was a very sweet young man who "always" showed me MAD love. We would always say something kind to each other and he would be glowing and smiling. TJ had a golden smile!

You didn't have to even know him and your life was impacted once you were in his presence. He always made it his priority to hug my neck. He was full of love and life.

Tif know that God is too wise to make a mistake. I'm here for you now and I'll be there for you as I always have been when the crowd is gone. This is when you really NEED people. I did not personally know Terrell, but I have seen him many times before he left West Ashley High School. I am not only sending you my condolences, but I am also letting Terrell's cousin rodney know that I am thinking about him. When I saw Rodney in Wal-mart the other day and I gave him a hug I could almost feel his pain. To the family and Rodney: Terrell has lived a good life, he brought many smiles, and had many friends. It is now his time to take his rest with the almighty God above. Just when you begin to feel like all hope is gone just look to the hills for which cometh your help. Look unto God for comfort and continue to keep the closeness of a family. Just a few months ago I was experiencing and dealt with the lost of a grandmother. I may not know how you feel as parents, but I know how you feel as a bereaving family. When my grandmother passed I looked to God as my strength and comfort. The bible clearly states that "God will not leave of forsake you" all you have to do is step out on faith. Even though terrell is not physically with you, his spirit will always reside right were he left it: With You!!!!
