Sylvia Lee Obituary

Sylvia Rose Lee DANIEL ISLAND - Sylvia Rose Lee passed away peacefully on August 8, 2014 at Daniel Island near Charleston, S.C. She was born on April 9, 1920 and grew up a tomboy on the family farm in Warren County, N.C. This was a period of her life that she spoke warmly of throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Simeon Ramon Lee, her mother, Nora Rose and father, Ollie Rose, brothers, Lawrence, Charles, O.T., Dudley and sister, Lucille. Her beloved sister, Mamie Helen Odom now resides in Raleigh, N.C. and her beloved sister-in- law, Julia Fuller Creech in Raleigh, N.C. She is also survived by four sons and their spouses: John (Mary), Sam, Bob (Catherine), and Rusty; six grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Her later years were enjoyed at Summit Place on Daniel Island where she made life friends of staff and residents. She loved them dearly. Her four sons and their happiness were a very important part of her life. She protected, instructed and loved them all of her 94 years.
