Suzanne Corbett Obituary

Suzanne Corbett ATLANTA, GA - Suzanne Acree Cone Corbett died peacefully on January 22, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia following a brief illness. Born in Cairo, Georgia to parents, Sue Acree Cone and Roy Lyman Cone, she grew up in Camilla, Georgia surrounded by loving aunts, uncles and cousins. After graduating Mitchell County High School in 1953, she attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After college, she had a successful career in Atlanta as a model and actress. In the early 1980's, she began investing in and managing residential real estate, amassing an impressive portfolio of properties in Atlanta and Charleston which she actively managed through 2024. A lifelong learner, Suzanne enjoyed sharing her knowledge and love of antiques as a docent at the Atlanta History Center's Swan House and the Historic Charleston Foundation's Nathaniel Russell House. A woman of independent means, Suzanne was a true southern hostess, talented home chef, and diehard Georgia Bulldog fan. A simple graveside service was held on January 29, 2025 in Camilla, Georgia where she will rest forever in Oakview Cemetery next to her beloved mother.
