Suzanne Bertolini Obituary

Suzanne Allen Bertolini MT. PLEASANT - Suzanne Allen Bertolini, 77, of Mount Pleasant, and wife of the late Vincent Anthony Bertolini, Sr. died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Mrs. Bertolini was born in Long Island, NY on May 31, 1937 to the late Samuel H. Swart and Susan K. Swart. She is a graduate of her beloved Mary Washington College with a B.S. degree in Economics and earned a Masters of Education degree from Furman University in Special Education. She was a retired school teacher from Charleston County School district. Suzanne taught Special Education in McClellanville at Lincoln High School and McClellanville Middle School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, building her backyard pond each spring, and remodeling her miniature doll house. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Vincent Anthony Bertolini, Sr. of 45 years, and her brother, Arnold Rosser Swart. She is survived by 5 children: Christopher Anthony Bertolini of Linville, NC, Robert Rosser Bertolini of Mount Pleasant, SC, Kimberly Bertolini-Ciuffo of Lexington, SC, Vincent Anthony Bertolini, Jr. of Melbourne, FL, and Susan (Lee) Bertolini Boyles of Mount Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren: Alexa Ann Bertolini, Rivers Allen Bertolini, Nicholas Anthony Ciuffo, Suzanne Elizabeth Ciuffo, and Ian Carlton Bertolini; sister, Mary Anne Rankenburg of Douglasville, GA, and Retired Major General Samuel Swart of Seneca, SC. Family and friends are invited to attend a "Celebration of her Life" to be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mt Pleasant Chapel, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt.
