I am so sorry to hear of Susan's passing. I enjoyed knowing her while working at Orange Grove as a wonderful parent & teacher. She had a beautiful smile & twinkle in her eyes & was always ready to talk & laugh with me. Andrew & Ashley were very sweet as well & I know took very good care of Susan. God Bless you all.

I was blessed to work with Susan for a number of years at St Andrews Elementary. Susan was a warm and wonderful teacher for the children. She was a gracious, positive, supportive colleague for all her fellow teachers, her principal and the "Pebbles'' community of parents and students. I am honored to have had the pleasure of having had Susan as a long time faculty member at St. Andrews, but even more importantly as a true and good friend.

Nancy, I wish I could be there in person today to give you a hug but mom has an appointment at 1:00. It is just so sad to have your sister leave so early.

I always looked up to Susan. She had such a calm and even demeanor when working with students and was a great listener. This world will miss her, but her spirit lives on in all the lives she touched.
Wishing your hearts peace!

I have known Susan for many years, went yo High school & church with her & she was sleays very soft spoken, had an infectious smile and a great friend. I´m sure Ashley & Andrew & family will miss her dearly, but she is now rejoicing in heaven with her parents and is no longer just existing. May God Bless her children & grand children and comfort them during this time. Rest in Peace, Susan.

Susan was always upbeat and hilarious. I will not be able to attend the services but I am praying for all of the family. As my husband says, Tears for your loss, Smiles for the memories and Hallelujahs for the Promise Fulfilled.
She was so like her mother, Aunt Mary, and I enjoyed the few times that I got to spend with her. My last visit to Charleston, we were able to connect and had such a wonderful visit.
This is Faye/Graham Fox's daughter, Sissy, from Tennessee.

Susan had a smile and laugh like no other! I enjoyed watching her in action with her students as they knew she truly cared for them. It was my privilege to work with Susan over the years as a fellow educator. Outside of the classroom, she beamed with pride as she spoke of her children and family. What a strong role model she was! My thoughts and prayers have been her family since I heard yesterday that she passed away. I will continue to hold them in my heart and pray that their many wonderful memories will bring them comfort in the days ahead.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Debbie Hanna
