A year has passed and I still can't believe this. I remember us listening to and singing, James Taylor, "You've got a friend ". Sweet memories of you.

My mother Maxine Hudson was a client of Susan's for MANY years at South State Bank in Mount Pleasant, and she also considered her a friend. Susan was the ultimate professional - knowing anything and everything my mother and later I needed to know. She was thorough, honest, friendly, and caring. After many years of helping my mother, Susan would always ask me about her when Mother entered her nineties and I was the one taking care of her banking errands and communications. Susan would even say, "Give your mother my love." My mother loved her also. Susan was beautiful inside and out, far more beautiful than the photo shows. I wish I had a photo of her the last time I saw her with gold in her beautiful brunette hair and that gorgeous flowing flowered dress. She truly lived life. We have all lost a great lady far too young.

So sad to hear this news. Susan and I were friends and classmates when we lived across the street on the Isle of Palms. She always had a smile and such a great sense of humor. My heart goes out to Leslie and Beth. Susan loved you dearly and was always so proud of you. Prayers for you and your family.

Susan was such a sweetheart . She made everyone that she encountered feel special. She always had a compliment for those she had just met or those she had known forever . Susan was a gift to me and so many others . Her smile immediately made you feel so positive ! I will miss her every single day for the rest of my life . But the memories and thoughts of our friendship will brighten each day !

Susan was one of the kindest people I´ve ever known. Her smile was huge and contagious. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a compassionate heart. She was my friend for many years and a coworker who knew so many people we joked that she knew most of Mt. Pleasant. Everyone who met her loved her. I have so many memories of Susan and she´ll live on, but be missed so very much. Love and prayers to Leslie and Beth.

Susan had the kindest heart. She was always so patient with her older clients. Susan would sit with my mother and help her balance her check book about every two weeks. No matter how busy she was, she always made my mother feel the most important person at her branch.
First Federal was such a community bank.
