Susan King Obituary

To the Family:

I worked with Susan for several years during my time at Wando. She really helped me in so many ways, not the least of which was to keep up morale! Much of my successes were directly attributed to her many kindnesses and unstinting help. My greatest sympathies for your loss.

Your mom was one of the most special people I have ever met, and I think everyone who met her felt special having known her. I will miss her greatly.

As you know my family is just lost without your Mom. DiDi and I loved her so much. She was the impedimy of a friend. Always there on the important times(births,birthdays,weddings, funerals, and parties). Please take the legacy of your Mom and follow what she taught you. She was such a good person and her life's deeds would be easy to follow. We love you and are willing to help if you need us. God Bless you.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She was a very sweet person and I have nothing but the fondest of memories of her from my high school days at Wando.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. It was such a priviledge to have known Susan through Delta Kappa Gamma, an educators society. She shared our photo adventures at the DKG convention in Chicago by celebrating in Summerville at an afternoon tea with friends. She and her sense of humor will be missed. Kathryn M. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Ms King. She was the Librarian at Fort Johnson HS while I was there (75-79). My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Your mom and I first met in Library Club when we were students at James Island High. Later we both worked as librarians for Charleston County. Many years ago we used to go to meetings together, then head for the fabric shop to shop for fabric for quilting and sewing projects. Your mom was a kind and gentle person. I know you will miss her.

I am so sorry to hear about your mother. This must be so hard for you. I can remember her smiling face when I saw her in the Wando Library. Our family (Sammy, Michael and Jane) have always thought the world of you. You are indeed a special young women. Please take care.

How saddened I was to learn of Susan's death. I have such fond memories of happy times at "King's Kastle" on Ellis Creek years ago. She, her twin brother, Chris, and her parents, Marion and Ida, were special people.

To Susans' Family,
I knew Susan when we were children living on Ellis Creek.I have fond memories of how nice she was to us 'younguns'.She was very good-hearted.

It was my privilege to have known Susan. I have many fond memories of times spent with Susan and Nancy. She was always so upbeat and positive even through the toughest of times.
