Throughout the over 30 years she spent living and working in the Charleston, SC area, she was also actively involved in the Dock Street Theater community. Her husband, Marvin and daughter, Molly participated in many stage productions over the years. Susan was known to be quick witted, funny and fun-loving. She was caring, a great listener, artistic and creative with an interest in photography. She continued her interest in the arts, in retirement, as a docent at the Hunter Museum in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Left to mourn her loss are husband, Marvin, daughter, Molly Feingold (Gerry Segarra); sisters: Sharon Michalak(Bill), Patricia Lynch; brothers: Tom Lynch and Jim Lynch(Jennie Hammett). Being back in Mount Pleasant full time makes me really miss my friend Susan! She was so smart, intuitive and quick witted! I was her confident during the time she scouted out various places to move to, finally deciding on Chattenoga! We shared confidences and she was a wealth of information! She shared many holidays us at our home! I know how sorely her family must miss her! I´d love to contact her sisters´ who she so highly regarded!

Dear Feingold family,

I was greatly saddened to hear of the passing of Susan and I apologize for not getting this condolence note to you sooner.
I had the pleasure of teaching Susan in my Modern European history class at the College of Charleston. She was an outstanding scholar. But not only was she an exceptional student, we became fast friends. We were close in age and shared many interests. With her caring and supportive approach to life, I knew she would make a great teacher. She was so enjoyable, so endearing. After she graduated and became a teacher at Whitesides, we ran into each other at Marshall's and quickly picked up right where we had left off. She was as amazing as ever. Her wit, her sensitivity, her kindness. I just adored her.
So I write to her family just to express to you how fortunate I count myself to have known this remarkable person, and as how as her teacher, my life was so enriched. I grieve for your loss.

Sincerely,

Susan Toland

Susan Feingold was like a second mother to my daughter Megan. Molly and Megan were the best of childhood friends and loved to visit in each other's homes. The Feingold household was always full of interesting, creative things to do. Our houses were not beside each other, rather they were backyard adjacent so my husband build a gate in the fence between the backyards so the girls could easily run back and forth between houses. Molly, I'm so sorry to learn of Susan's passing. She loved you SO much.

Always difficult to see a loved one pass on, and especially one as wonderful as Susan. Met her at Central Catholic High School and remained in contact up to our 50+1 reunion in September 2022. Enjoyed visiting with Susan, Marvin and Molly in Charleston, SC on several occasions. Spoleto Festival was a favorite of ours with Susan acting as guide to the arts. The Lynch clan will truly miss her, as we will too.

Our condolence to the family.
I was happy to have known Sue from Class of 1966. We got to spend a fun filled weekend together at Ohio State. We set her up with a blind date! ( she still was my friend afterwards even though the date did not go so well!). May she rest in peace!

I´m very sad and shocked to hear of Susan´s passing. She taught across the hall from me at Whitesides Elementary years and for short time at Jennie Moore Ele. She always had a funny wisecrack that would leave me in stitches laughing. She made the tough days of teaching more fun.The kids ( including my daughter) loved her funny a unique sense of humor that she brought to her classroom curriculum. I will miss her and I know her students, friends and family members will as well. She will always be in my memory as my fun and loving friend.
Love,
