Thank you, Elizabeth, for getting this news of Sue´s passing on our class thread! Many of us learned about it, but have been unable to extract any info until now.
Sue & l were great friends at Glennwood Elementary School in Decatur GA during the 7 years we attended. We never were in a class together when in 8th grade & high school so grew apart.
I loved her family & fun attic with cutout beds in its walls. Memories of our childhood flood by as l try to grasp thoughts of her. In the fourth grade l went to my first spend-the-night party in her home. The theme was blue jeans. I didn´t own a pair, so got my first pair of jeans for that occasion! I remember her Siamese cat & that they took in a squirrel & red fox for awhile. We would dance with abandon to Elvis Presley singing on her record player in her room.
Sue had a bright, dynamic personality full of life that exuded happiness. Sue was true to her calling - art - & had a generosity of heart that l´m sure she carried her entire lifetime. I love that we were best childhood friends & wish our friendship had continue into adulthood.
I send my love & condolences to her family.
