I miss my nephew Stevie. I still see him surfing and smiling on the beach. He was so kind and loving. He had such a big heart. As much we and his mother and family and the world still needs him. God needs him more. I know Stevie is in heaven advocating for all of us and preparing a seat for us all. I will always remember him as a good young man. But we will all see him again. I look forward to that day and his smile.

Missing you

Ann-Marie Cannon

January 14, 2022

I have many fond memories with Uncle Steve, far too many to chose from and many far to saccharine to be expressed mere words as my lack of eloquence would do them a disservice. My sentiment lies in the fact that my Uncle was always unapologetically himself, never faltering under the scrutiny of others. Whether he was cooking, surfing, or playing music, his passion was evident and his spirit joyous. I love you, Uncle Steve, and I know you and Papa are living it up big time now! When the time is right we will meet again and it will be more beautiful than anything our earthly bodies and minds can even imagine.

Love you longtime.

Yours truly,

Ann-Marie

Stevie was such a loving and kind young man. He was like a younger brother to me. He was also a great surfer. I am so mad at myself for not calling him thru out the years. He will be missed so much by so many.

I sit here and think about the day you were born it was a Wednesday and pouring rain but your dad and I were so happy to meet you. You were the sweetest, most beautiful, baby in the world and we were so happy. The day you died the sun was shining but my heart was dark and broken. I know that you and dad are together and that brings peace to me. I will miss you every day but you will live in my heart forever. Have fun with dad and rest in peace.

When Steven was 12 I had gone shopping and while I was gone he took the car and drove all his friends around. Not knowing his Daddy was gonna feel the hood to see if it was cool. It was not! While he did a good job driving he was caught red handed.

When Steve was four years I called him in for lunch and he came in and said "Mama I gotta hurry because Jesus is outside waiting on me."

He loved chocolate and when he was three years old he had eaten the back off my Dads Easter bunny. When we would look at the bunny in the package it looked whole. Little did we know it was half gone.
