Steven Foosnes Obituary

Steven Foosnes, 48, passed away peacefully at his home in Anchorage on July 3, 2012.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Crosspoint Community Church, 1920 W. Dimond, Suite K, Anchorage, AK 99515.

Steven was born October 14, 1963 in Seattle, Washington to his parents, Harry and Guri. He moved with his family to Anchorage in 1972. He graduated from East High School in 1980. His hobbies included cards, fishing and watching sports. He loved poker and cribbage. He played cribbage during the winter at Gwennie's Restaurant. He loved fishing all over Alaska, especially the Kenai. He loved building and was a great carpenter. He is remembered for building the I-hop, Outback Steakhouse, Ramada Inn and many homes throughout Anchorage and the hillside. He loved watching sports. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. His home was riddled with Packers memorabilia.

His family states, "Steven touched everyone he ever met in some way. He had a huge smile and big heart. He was a very generous man. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed."

He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Foosnes.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Guri and Bill Gupton of Roseville, CA; his brother, Harry Foosnes, Jr. of Seattle, WA; his brother, Alan Foosnes of Anchorage, AK; many nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Norway.
