I am so saddened to learn of Steve's passing. What a one-of-a-kind, superstar of a man! Kind, generous, friendly, everything you could ever ask for. Your soulmate will now look down on you from heaven and guard and protect you like he did here on earth, Nancy. I am so, so sorry! Wishing you and the entire family comfort during this time of grief.

Dear Nancy,
You and Steve were the first people Bruce and I met back in what 2014/2015( I don't remember) when Karen brought us to your house in Palatine. It was our first introduction to B'Chavana. You served the best vegetarian chili with noodles and I have made your recipe every winter. You and Steve welcomed us with open arms and we didn't feel like strangers. I'm happy that I hosted a few times before you moved away, and helped fill our home with warmth, friendship, music, laughter and tears. I have had great conversations with Steve about burning man and loved that he was still a hippie at heart. We are always learning lessons in life, and since the shocking news of his passing, it reminds me to not waste a single minute and keep living life with intention, keep ending every day letting your loved ones know how you feel, and now that we can to hug more, and check off that bucket list. (I actually have one) I imagine Steve would want everyone to keep doing just that.
There are no words that I can say that will comfort you now ( I know that to be true) and I know you have an abundance of love and support around you, and with time, your faith and strength will pull you through. Lean on whoever is around you physically or virtually and draw on their strength.
We love you Nancy and you Steve wherever you are.

A few months ago we had Facetime with Steve and Nancy. We were talking about how we were passing our time during Covid. Nancy and Steve talked abut their garden and their involvement with the community garden. Nancy showed us Steve new piano that she had purchased for him. It was so beautiful and Steve played for us a beautiful piano piece. We had such a beautiful and relaxing moment and felt that we were right in their living room with them.
We love you Steve and may you rest in peace.
Nancy we offer our deepest condolences and send you our love and strength.
Hugs

Our sincere condolences. Although distance did not provide us the opportunity to get together often, we made the most of the times we did get together. I can honestly say that after getting together we never left without a smile and a heart full of happy memories. We offer our prayers and condolences to Nancy and the family. We will happily make a donation to the Green Heart Project in his memory.

I can't believe Steve's gone - wonderful friend, great advisor and mentor, always there to share a smile and a laugh or a hug in more serious moments. He and Nancy are an inspiration to all couples of how to make love last and be fresh no matter the age or circumstance. We will miss you, pal. I cherish every jam session we had and every moment we shared.

I met Steve when I lived with his nephew Yoni/Jonathan in Moishe House in Chicago. Yoni obviously loves and admires his uncle so much and it was contagious. I only met Steve a couple of times but I immediately felt a sense of comfort around him. It was exciting that a successful man like Steve wanted to hang out with us. I admired his love of traveling the world and being a successful businessman. He seemed to have unlocked the key to a happy and balanced life. It was a privilege to meet him. I am so sorry for the loss for Nancy, his sister and of course his neice and nephews who adored him and the rest of his family, friends and colleagues. Sending big love and condolences from California.

It seems like minutes ago we were riding in a brews cruise bus laughing and singing. You, the orchestrator of our fun. And in a blink you are gone and we are left to carry on. We will care for your loving wife and partner in crime as you would have wanted us to. But the world has forever changed without your joy, enthusiasm and love. We have been blessed to have you in our lives but it was certainly too short of a time.
