Steven Bromley Obituary

Steven James Bromley N. CHARLESTON - Steven James Bromley, age 61, of North Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at his residence. He was the owner of Sea Island Building Systems Inc, Beaufort, SC; salesman with Highland Home Brokers, Inc, Charleston, SC; owner of Vermont Precision Products; owner of Metronics, Inc., Manchester, NH; and owner of Ocean Industries, Inc. He served his country in the United States Army. Steve was a General Contractor for the State of South Carolina. Past President of the Beaufort Chapter of the Manufactured Housing Institute from 2000-2004. He was also on the Board of Directors of Modular Construction Committee. Steve was a licensed pilot who loved flying. He also enjoyed deep sea fishing and golfing but most of all, he loved his wife, his children and his blessed grandchildren. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Irvin and Lillian Charlotte Bromley; his son, Scott Steven Bromley and his grandson, Ty Bromley Kendall. Steve is survived by his wife, Gayle Sumner Bromley of Charleston, South Carolina; daughters, Jennifer Lynn Power of Springfield, Vermont, and Kelli Suzanne, and husband Josh Dufresne of Springfield, Vermont; son, Cameron Scott Bromley of Wallingford, Connecticut; sisters, Donna Bromley of Montpelier, Vermont, and Susan Bromley and Allan Klingle of Bluffton, South Carolina; brother, Donald Robert Bromley and wife Katya of Key West, Florida; grandson, Matthew Christopher Power of Springfield, Vermont; granddaughters, Meghan Elizabeth Power of Springfield, Vermont, and Hailee Evelyn Dufresne of Springfield, Vermont; grandson, Carter James Dufresne of Springfield, Vermont. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, August 26, 2011, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Rev. Larry D. Flippo officiating. Pallbearers will be Fred Burbage, Bob Anderson, Dave Jackson, Mac McKeithen, Roscoe Still, and Joe Manis. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2011, at the funeral home. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or donations may be made in honor of Steven Bromley to the Hollings Cancer Institute, 86 Jonathan Lucas Street, Charleston, SC 29425.
