Stephen Anthony Shanahan COTTAGEVILLE, SC - Stephen Anthony Shanahan, 68, of Cottageville, husband of Emma Lee Creel Shanahan, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Colleton Medical Center. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 12 o'clock to 1 o'clock at Little Rock Holiness Church, 20911 Augusta Hwy, Cottageville, SC 29435. A funeral service will begin at 1 o'clock at Little Rock Holiness Church. Burial will follow at Little Rock Holiness Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to American Cancer Society at www.donate3.cancer.org. Stephen was born on May 31, 1953 in Richmond, IN, son of the late Gerald and Betty Shanahan. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Emma, are: two step-children: Melissa Rickman (Maurice) of Cottageville and Jamie Martin (Amy) of Douglas, GA; Goddaughter, Laura Liggett Sorrows of IN; ten grandchildren: Becky, Melea (Darius), Mariah (Grant), Jimi (Terrance), Angela (James), Emily, Joshua, Ethan, Layla, and Maurissa; four great- grandchildren: Braelynn, Braeden, Weston, and Wynter; sister in law, Rebecca Shanahan of Winter Park, FL; siblings: Bill Shanahan of Okeechobee, FL, Tom Shanahan (Joyce) of Clearwater, FL, Dan Shanahan (Kim) of Rushville, IN, Pat Shanahan (Amy) Naperville, IL, Brian Shanahan (Janell) of Martinsville, IN, Mary Liggett (Mark) of Rushville, IN, Sharon Olson (Dan) of St. Jacob, IL, and Colleen Shanahan (Trisha Ostermeier) of Arcata, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
