Stephen S. Reichlyn ISLE OF PALMS, SC - Stephen S. Reichlyn, 82, of Isle of Palms, South Carolina was born April 8, 1943, and passed, August 23, 2025. Stephen S. Reichlyn was born in Washington, D.C., to Irene and Harry Reichlyn. He was raised in a devout Jewish home and remained a proud practicing Jewish man throughout his life, traveling to Israel more than ten times-a place that always held deep meaning for him. He graduated from the University of Maryland, where he proudly played football for the Terrapins. Then he became Captain Stephen S. Reichlyn serving his country as a communication officer in the U.S. Army. In 1972, Stephen married the love of his life, Lynn Reichlyn. Together they shared 53 wonderful years and raised two children, Renee Louise and Ryan Bennett Reichlyn. Professionally, Stephen was the Founder and President of Ryan Scientific, Inc., a company that will celebrate its 40th anniversary next year where he worked closely with his son, Ryan. Outside of work, Stephen found his greatest joy in family. He was also an award-winning ham radio operator and had a lifelong passion for cars-especially Corvettes, which he loved to collect and drive. Stephen will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud Jewish man and loyal friend. His warmth, humor, and unwavering presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him. Anyone who ever heard his laugh knew exactly what this meant. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 26, 2025, at Emmanu-El Cemetery, 60 Sycamore Ave., Charleston, SC, at 2:00 pm.
