Today we visited ground zero from Canada and Mr. Masi's name caught our attention as there was a white rose beside his name. Condolences to his family and hope they are ok. We will never forget what happened that terrible, terrible day 23 years ago.

My husband, Martin Ingianni, knew Steve as his boss at the phone company and as a beloved friend. On the 10th anniversary, Marty added his remembrance to Steve below. Marty passed away 2 years ago but I know he would want me to add his name to Steve's memorial on this 19th anniversary. May they both rest in peace. Nikki Ingianni

I live in Florida and am just quietly watching a YouTube video of the 9/11 Memorial. Its just a video of a walking tour through Lower Manhattan. I caught Stephens name as the camera panned over the fountains and at that moment felt a need to pray for him and his family. I did not know him but Im sure he was a wonderful man. God bless you all.

I recently received an American flag that was gifted to me by my cousin Richard and Yvonne in honor of Stephen F. Masi. My cousins attended a Memorial Service in North Tonawanda NY, a small city near Buffalo NY. We have the flag displayed on a stand in our lanai. On an additonal note, we were vacationing in New York City on September 11th - and will forever remember how supportive and caring New Yorkers are. Bless you all.

When I visited ground zero last year I snapped a photo of one of the tower footprint memorials. Mr. Masi's name just so happened to be the name that centered prominently in the photo. It turned out to be one of my favorite and most powerful photos of my trip.
Today I am sitting waiting to get my hair cut thousands of miles away from ground zero, and Stephen Frank Masi's name catches my eye on a 9/11 flag of honor hanging on the wall. This flag list all those that perished on that day.
Today I searched his name on my phone and was happy to find this memorial page. It is a I can do to hold the tears back reading about this kind and loving man. This is the first time in 12 years since the tragedy that I have associated a name and a face to the tragedy, and Im happy it is him. It's heartbreaking to imagine the pain that his family has been through. I pray that they continue to heal. Rest in peace.

On this 10 year anniversary I was thinking of Steve. He was my boss in AT&T, but he was more of a friend to me.

Dear Masi Family,
On the one year anniversary of 9/11, Idaho State University printed off labels with the names of every person who perished on that fateful day. During classes last year, these labels were given to students to wear throughout the day, in memory of each victim. I took two names that day. Stephan F. Masi is one of the names.
After 9/11/2002, I couldn't throw away the label, so I taped it to my computer. For the last year, I have been looking at his name practically every day. This second anniversary, I will wear his name again, in memory of Stephan F. Masi.
This second anniversary, I decided to look for some information on Stephan F. Masi. That's how I found this guest book. Please know that I will proudly wear his name every September 11. I am a teacher, and my students ask about him. I can now tell them about your husband, father, and loved one.
He is, and always will be, in my thoughts prayers and memory.
Sincerel y,

Steve, we loved you so very very much! Joan was right, you were always an amazing cook! All those years we shared holiday meals at your home. How that will never be the same again is of great sorrow yet the memories will always be pleasant ones. I know you have met my Dad in heaven. We will always love you and miss you.

My husband, Al, always talked to and about Steve. He was in our thoughts constantly after 9/11. I regret that we never got that chance to get together for dinner like the two of them had planned. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
