Stephen Crosby Obituary

Stephen Crosby St. George, SC - Stephen Crosby, husband of Helen Fralix Crosby, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, May 21, 2021 at Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Craig Crosby and Reverend Frank Shivers officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the St. George Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bryan Eadon, Donnie Crowe, Troy Crosby, Noah Crosby, Joel Crosby and Zachary Crosby. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church. Stephen was born in Spartanburg on November 14, 1948, a son of Betty Jo Roper Crosby and the late Robert Leon Crosby. He was a 1969 graduate of St. George High School, attended Baptist College and was an ordained Baptist minister. He pastored the following churches: Bethlehem Baptist Church, Round O, Calvary Baptist Church, Pregnall, Old St. George Baptist Church, St. George and Bethel Baptist Church, Walterboro. Serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, Stephen proudly served his country in Vietnam from 1969-1975. He was also the original owner of Low Country Tree Service. He was predeceased by his father, Leon, a brother, David Crosby and his sister-in-law, Pam F. Eadon. Stephen was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather for almost 50 years. He served in the ministry for 45 years and his passion for sharing the gospel shined through to all he came in contact with. His patriotism, work ethic, and overall character was second to none. The void he leaves behind is irreplaceable but the legacy he created will impact the world for generations to come. Surviving are his wife, Helen F. Crosby; three sons, Chris (Leslie) Crosby, Craig (Aimee) Crosby and Chad (Farrah) Crosby; grandchildren, Lydia Crosby, Noah Crosby, Matthew Crosby, Joel Crosby, Seth Crosby, Asher Crosby, Briannah Crosby, Brody Crosby and Brooks Crosby; his mother, Betty Jo Crosby; a brother, Tim (Karen) Crosby; a sister, Ellen (Don) Crowe; sister-in-law, Brenda Crosby; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Evan Eadon and brother-in-law, Mitchell Fralix.
