Stephen Bell Obituary

BELL, Stephen G. Of Hull, formerly of Hingham and Weymouth, September 27, 2009. Beloved husband of Kathryn (Daly) Bell of Hull. Loving father of Darren Bell and his wife Michelle of New York, NY, and Jennifer A. Gonzalez and her husband Pablo of Hull. Stepfather of Jessica Daly of Waltham and Stephanie Daly of Hull. Devoted brother of Deborah McIntosh of Hanover, Lura Keefe of W. Yarmouth and Diana Eichles of Virginia. Cherished grandfather of Luis and Elena Gonzalez of Hull. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Stephen was born in Milton, grew up in Weymouth and lived in Hingham before moving to Hull in 2001. Mr. Bell worked for Boston Edison for 31 years before retiring in 1998. He was also Train Inspector for CSX Railroad for 7 years retiring in 2004. Stephen was a member of the Weymouth Elks, Nantasket Beach Salt Water Club and was a member of Local 369 Utility Workers Union of America. He was a Historian and enjoyed Politics. Stephen was a very patriotic person and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Stephen love to travel with his RV. Stephen was a kind, sensitive and affectionate man who was devoted to his children and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wed. 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Ann's Church, Hull at 10 AM. Cremation to follow. Donations in memory of Stephen may be made to The Jimmy Fund, 1309Beacon Street, Brookline, MA 02446-9918. Steve was a fine man, a wonderful friend and a superb Dad and GrandDad. I have fond memories of many trips and fun times together as well as sitting in the rain at Pats games but still loudly cheering for the Pats. I miss his smile and twinkling eyes already.
