Stephen Baumrind Obituary

Steve was very welcoming when we joined the College of Charleston volleyball family! He was so enthused about the team and we saw him at every game. It was so nice to see him every time we came down!

Steve always conducted himself as a gentleman and I greatly respected and liked him. I will miss his smiles and friendship.

Sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I enjoyed the many times we spent with Greater Charleston Ski Club. He was one of the better skiers in the club. He also was an officer in the ski club when I first joined. He had a wonderful personality.

Rest in peace Steve. You lived a life full of smiles and generosity. In doing so, you've left this world a better place. May your memory be a blessing to all who knew you.

Steve was my neighbor for 10 years and during that time he joined us for many informal meals, football games on tv and friendly visits. We carpooled to higher parking grounds during hurricanes and shared holiday meals and our family with Steve. He was a wonderful man and when we moved last fall I saw a great sadness in his eyes as my husband Jay and I had often helped him out with doctor appointments, grocery shopping and just being there for him on a daily bases -our hearts are broken to hear of his passing....may he Rest In Peace knowing he was loved.

Sending love to all the family as we remember this sweet and gentle man, who always had a smile and a memory to share. Let's hope the knowledgebase of our family line he shared continues within all of us. Steve, you'll be missed.

Steve was a kind and caring cousin. Even though we lived far apart, we always kept in touch regularly. He often spoke of his wonderful friends in Charleston. I will miss him very much.

I have known Steve all my adult life and will miss watching volleyball matches with you....a sport you so loved and supported as well as anyone who played the game. I will miss you.

Steve was my condo neighbor at the Albemarle, one of the first to reach out to me and make me feel at home. He was a special, kind, and caring gentleman. I will miss his friendly hellos and advice. Rest in peace dearest Steve, you will be missed. ❤

I have always thought Stevie was a very special person. I loved hisshy smile and he always greeted me so lovingly. I was behind him at CHS, but always looked for him at our school reunions. I will miss my good friend and his wonderful smile. Seanding love to his family.

Stephen has been a wonderful family friend my whole life. He was kind to my parents and me. May his memory be as a Blessing.

So sad to learn of Steve's passing. I first met Steven when I came to College of Charleston as a member of the volleyball team. Steve was our biggest fan and was a constant friendly face at our competitions. After graduation Steve and I continued to play volleyball together and were regular companions at many, many volleyball gatherings and events. Steve and I had a wonderful visit and brunch in March (before all the COVID craziness) and I will always cherish the memories of that most recent visit and all of our fun times. Steve will be missed very much.
