Stanley C. Thompson Goose Creek - Stanley Clifton Thompson, 62 of Goose Creek, SC passed away Friday, June 1, 2018. He was born on January 26, 1956, in Columbia, SC to Roger C. Thompson and Betty Young Thompson. Stanley was an avid USC Gamecock fan, loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed retirement after 41 years at AT&T. Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Patricia Dunlap Thompson; 2 sons, Bradley C. Thompson (Ashlee) and Mark P. Thompson (Taylor); 5 grandchildren; mother, Betty Young Thompson; and sisters, Karen Evans (George) and Sherry Knigge. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger C. Thompson. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 1:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Service will be held in the same location on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to MUSC or a charity of your choice.
