Stanley O'Brien Obituary

Stanley J. O'Brien, Sr. GOOSE CREEK - Stanley J. O'Brien, Sr, 74, of Goose Creek, SC and Cape Vincent, NY, passed away on May 30th at his home surrounded by loved ones. Stan was born on September 11, 1950 to the late Gordon and Edna (Radley) O'Brien. He proudly enlisted in the US Navy in 1970. He worked for 20 years as a submariner, then worked for another 20 years for defense contractors, Westinghouse and Bechel. Stan married Margo Baskey on February 14, 1970. Margo passed away on February 11, 2014. Stan is survived by his son, Stanley O'Brien, Jr. (Kristen) and daughter, Lori Anne O'Brien, and his 2 grandsons, Stanley III (also known as Trey) and Evan all of Chapin, SC, and Deborah Moore, his companion from Goose Creek, SC. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at his home in South Carolina. Calling hours will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on July 2, 2025 at Cleveland Funeral Home of Cape Vincent, NY with funeral and burial immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made, in his honor, to the Cape Vincent Fire Department. Online condolences can be made at www.clevelandfhinc.com.
