Obituary For Stan Maurice Davis Stan Maurice Davis, 73 of Jonesboro, Georgia departed this life on Saturday, August 30, 2025. He was born on January 2, 1952 in Brooklen, NY, to the late Johnnie Davis and Lillie Pierce Davis, both of whom preceded him in death. Stan received his education in the Brooklyn County Public School System. He had a desire to become a long distance truck driver. In 1989 he received his certification as a long haul truck driver, and in 1999 he became a licensed electrician. Stan was an employee of DC Power Specialist, LLC for a period of 20 years. As an employee of DC Power Specialist, LLC, his training as an electrician was constant, whereas he begin to train other electricians as a supervisor. His early experience as an electrician was AC work, but working for DC power, he became very, very knowledgable and efficient in DC work too. Stan received numerous amounts of certifications as an employee of DC Power. He had over 30 years of electrical experience, and Stan served in the US Navy for several years. Stan had several nicknames; Stan The Man, Mac Gyver, The Walker Man, and Big Money. Indeed a man of many gifts and talents. He was a craftsman in the areas of; Capentry, Lanscaping, Mechanics, Painter, Plumber, and his wife's personal barber. Though his earthly journey has ended, his life in Christ is eternal and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. A day of great signifigance for Stan was July 29th when he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior on July 29, which is Mary's birthday, July 29 later became their anniversary date. Together they celebrated 39 years of love and devotion. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, his children; Eshera Davis, of California, Asia Davis Pointsette, of Georgia, Artika Pointsett-Tyran, Keyshon A. Pointsette, of Georgia, Earl A. Pointsette, of South Carolina, Earl A. Hamilton, of South Carolina, a host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren, sisters; Linda Davis, of New york, and Carol Davis, of New York, brother in law; Retired Colonel Rodney Duncan (Lynette) of Georgia, Carolyn Pettis, of Maryland, Inez Duncan, of South Carolina, Carla Brooks (Derrick), of Tennessee, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Stan Maurice Davis was preceded in death by his son, Vegas D. Pointsette, parents; Johnnie Davis and Lillie Pierce Davis, siblings; Marie Davis, Cleopatra Davis, Willie Mae Davis, Bernard Davis, John Davis, Albert Davis, and Jay Jay Davis.
