Silas Carson Obituary

I taught Ben in third grade and enjoyed having him in class. For Christmas that year he gave me a sweet little snowman watering can Christmas ornament that I proudly place upon my tree every single year. I just posted a picture of it on my FB page. A student that attended Central Elementary with Ben just told me of his passing. I'm so sorry to hear this news. He was a wonderful young man, please accept my condolences. I will treasure his sweet little snowman and will place it proudly on my tree from now on in his memory.

Just want you to know as you once again are walking through a holiday time without Ben that I´m thinking about you and praying for you. May your cherished memories be amazingly more special to you than the loss they remind you of through HIS grace in your lives. Love, sue

I have just learned this heart-breaking news and feel so deeply for you and Bill and the whole family. As my heart broke for you, I read many of the comments especially from co-workers and friends who spoke of what an exceptional son you raised. My deepest sympathies to the Carson family, who were our neighbors when we both lived in Central on the same street. Ben and Caroline were friends with my children and Ben was a sweet young man. I will keep all of you in my prayers during this difficult time.

I am so saddened to hear this. Although we were only neighbors with the Carson family a short while I new Ben as a good kid and loving younger brother. My deepest prayers to the Carson family.

My heart is broken hearing this news. Ben was such a caring, fun person that I had the privilege to work with during my time at Blackbaud. He always was a positive ray of light to those around him and just a joy to be with. My deepest sympathies and condolences.

Ben was such an amazing, thoughtful and dynamic personality. I had the pleasure of working with him over the last few years and he could always be counted on for a smile to start your day. Ben loved life and I always liked hearing about this adventures and his family. Ben and I worked together for several years at Blackbaud. He was such a caring, thoughtful, compassionate, funny guy. He took my place as the benefits analyst when I moved to Knoxville and I was saddened to hear the news. My prayers go out to his family and friends for peace and healing during such a difficult time. Im so sorry for your loss.

I loved working with Ben. He was such a hard worker and loved being part of a team. Ben was also a great runner, we frequently ran together at the BB gym for awhile as we were both training for some races. I am in complete shock over this tragic accident. I will not forget our time together. So many thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.

I had the privileged to work with Ben for several years. He helped carry many of the projects we worked on to the finish line. In and out of work he was smart, fun, hard working, caring and a genuine a good guy. I feel fortunate that I got to know him and I will miss him.

My thoughts are with his family, who Ben spoke fondly of and please know you raised an amazing man.

Bill, Libba, Caroline and family - Kathy and I were deeply saddened to hear of your sudden and tragic loss of Ben last Saturday. Ben and I worked together for many years at Blackbaud. He was always one of my favourites. Ben was kind, thoughtful, generous, and great at whatever he did. I most recently worked with him on a few Open Enrollment questions, and even though it had been a while since we talked, he was the same guy I had always known. I was floored by the news of Ben's passing (as I think we all are), and wanted to let you know just how much he was loved by his Blackbaud family and so many others. John and I are crushed by this news. We always loved having Ben on John's team and in our homes. We met y'all at the beach this past summer and are grateful for that, but deeply saddened for this loss which we all share.. John and Claire Mistretta.

I had the pleasure of working with Ben in HR for years and he was always so helpful, knowledgeable and responsive to my questions and from our employees and new hires in particular. I will miss him dearly and will always remember him fondly. He had such a great personality and was so fun to work with. I am so glad I was able to work with and get to know him as I did and for that I'll be forever grateful. I pray you find strength and peace.
