thanks for your life that has shown thru your loved ones.I remember and I will never forget and dont you ever forget it and that is what I say and they who say, so they say, you will say it to rest well and a giblet is fine as wine.

The Round Oak Missionary Baptist Church family sorely misses the singing and the wonderful spirit of Sidney Williams, To Garcia and Sid's family, there is truly a void in our choir. I can hear Sid and Bonita Bishop singing praises to God right now. Thanks be to God that we were recipients of his magnificent voice. May God be with you all.

My Dear Brother,
How we miss you! You were a special blessing to both of us. We cherish the memories of so much love and laughter, prayer and praise. We rejoice knowing that you are with our Father.

I could not have asked for a better Grandfather and role model for my children and grandchildren. Like my daughter, I miss our conversations about life. Thanks for always being there for us. Love Always!

I love you and always will. I still miss the our talks on my way home from work. I have little miss Sydney, She is my love for you and Rosie. And so talkative :-) I'm just glad God gave me you for the time that he did... It was priceless. And I do keep on pushing, for you.

I met Mr. Williams at Zion Baptist in Washington. I used to watch him from a distance and admire his beautiful suits. As I got to know him better, I grew to admire his entrepreneurial spirit and business success. As I got to know him still better, I grew to admire his wisdom and love of God. Among the many strong black men I have used as role models, Sid Williams was certainly one of them.

Two years? It seems like yesterday he gave me the shove I needed for committing my "Bucket List" to fruition.
It was 2 weeks before he passed. Now, I'm carrying out his main suggestion. He and I prayed about it and NOW, I'm making my move.

It only seems like yesterday that we were all at Liz's house enjoying food, fellowship, and love.

From the first day I met Jr and Garcia(as we fondly called him) he made me feel like
I had been a part of the family for ever.

Still struggle with your death...You Rosie Lee, and James passing on so close together messed me up...I heard you calling my name the Monday before your birthday..I cried to myself all week...You were a greater man to some of us than we realized while you were alive, and after you've gone there's a void...but your legacy and name will live...

Garcia:

There is no question that Sid Williams made an enormous impact on our lives. He came into our family and made a direct beeline into our hearts and remains there. He was like a brother to me. And he and my late husband, Clarence ("Nick") Boone became such great friends and golf buddies, that I would not be at all surprised if they're on the golf course right now.

I could not attend Sid's services, but I did send our family representative. You're still on my prayer list and will always be.

The days sometime seems longer but shorter than they were while ago and still I miss my friend. The time spent was just too short, the bond formed will be everlasting. His spirit will be an inspiration for the rest of my life.

We do not stop loving those whom we no longer see. Even after we pass from our physical life, those we love live on forever.

I thank God for the Life and Love of Sidney Williams . . . there is a Balm in Gilead.

I was unable to attend Sid's services, however I was in deep prayer for you and your family. I did not realize that a year had passed since his departure. You loved him dearly but God loved him best! Be assurred that he is in the Heavenly Choir of Angels, singing so fervently for the Father. Continue to be blessed.

Hello Garcia and other Family Members of my Friend Sid Williams,
Today I traveled across the internet and found the Guest Book dedicated to the life and memory of Sid Williams. Garcia, as you know, we met Sid at Zion Baptist Church, where my family and I walked many a Saturday with the two of you and the Praise Brigade. I considered Sid not only as a fellow church member, but also as a mentor on life and the joy of living life. I observed his savoir faire in dealing with all persons he came in contact with everyone and was happy to observe it. I never knew of Sid’s background, but I still respected him as a conqueror of many things. I am sad for you that we no longer have Sid to send us a birthday card from miles away or to send a pleasant thought on enjoying life. However, I am thrilled that we, all, had an opportunity to know the man, the brother, the Christian, Sidney G. Williams.

I was devastated and saddened to hear of the lost of our dear brother today! When the days are long and dreary and you feel weak, know that Sid is smiling down and if you listen closely to your heart you will hear him singing in that wonderful, melodious voice of his "Honey I am at rest". I know that you know he is resting with the FATHER after living a life well pleasing to HIM. Concentrate on the good times and the happy memories, which will sustain you when you are down. The days, especially the holidays, will become brighter and you will be able to go on. Don't ever lose your faith for HE cares for you!
