I was sad to hear of the loss of your beloved Sid and Dad --- an amazing man --- and I was disappointed to have missed your stories and tributes at his service. I will be thinking of you often in the days, weeks, and months ahead. May you find at least some comfort from the part of Sid that still lives in your hearts.

Deepest sympathies from Paul Oberman. My mom mentioned that she had seen all of you; I'm so sorry that I missed seeing Steve in LA. I hope that you will be okay during this difficult time.

I was so saddened to hear about Dr. Katz passing away. I know he will be sorely missed. I'm truly grateful that I was given the opportunity to get to know him through the theatre some years ago.

Diane, I am so sorry for your loss. Sid was a wonderful man and I loved every moment of every play we were in together. Maybe, especially, the Marriage of Bette and Boo because I got to be his daughter.
He once gave me the greatest life lesson I've ever had. I'll send you a note and tell you all about it... it's advice I'll give my own daughters and Sid will live on as a wise, sweet man in all our hearts.

I had the pleasure of working with Sid as a volunteer at the Lowcountry Senior Center. He is truely missed. I appreciated his willingness to give his time to assist others. Heart felt sympathy is extended to his family.

Sid has been such a presence in the Charleston and Jewish community. We will truly miss him... a true example of a rennaisance man: educator, actor, great cook, wonderful friend, wit, and a gentleman as well as a gentle man.

Sid will leave a lasting impression on those of us who had the pleasure of knowing him. The perenial twinkle in his eye, his sharp wit and a kind word. Most of all - his determination to live despite a "bad" heart. Actually, it was his "good" heart that kept him with us.

Sid was and always will be an institution at KKBE. I had the immense pleasure of serving with Sid on the Temple Board for many years. Sid always had a kind word for everyone and I greatly appreciated his advice. The synagogue is a much better place, and we are much better people, because he was a part of our lives.

Now God has a great actor in heaven. I will miss the fun we had together on stage. Tell Bill and Lenore hello for me. Call me if there are any parts for old Irish guys and I will be right there.

A beautiful person, a kind and loving a friend.
Modest he was, a man of talent and many acheivements.
A wit and smile to stop the band, an unforgettable presence he possessed.

Sandy and I are so sad to learn of Sid's passing. He was a warm friend to us. We worked together on many committees at the Synagogue, and I enjoyed working with him on all of them. We loved his sense of humor, sense of community, and commitment. We will miss him a great deal.
