Shirley Mayhue Goose Creek - Shirley Mayhue, age 81, of Goose Creek, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 11, 2018. Born in Indianapolis, IN, she was a member of Summit Church where she will be missed by many. Survivors include her sons, Gene "Scooter" Mayhue Jr. (Lindylou) of Defuniak Springs, FL and Robert Mayhue (Carol) of Goose Creek; daughter, Rebecca Keim (Michael) of Gainesville, GA; son-in-law, Chip Sykes of Gainesville, FL; grandchildren: Christopher Mayhue, Joshua Mayhue, Hannah Mayhue, Brendan Mayhue, Robert Mayhue IV, Lauren Noblin, Matthew Mayhue, Mike Keim, Maddi Keim, KC Sykes, and Austin Sykes; great-grandchildren: Madison, Allison, Jacob, and Abigail Mayhue. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her daughter, Ellen Sykes. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 15, 2018 in the same location. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Beaufort National Cemetery (with her husband Gene Mayhue, Sr.).
