Hi Shirl,
It's me. Your big sister "Dub." I am so happy to know that you have entered God's rest. I saw your reluctance to come back to us on that final day. My only comfort is knowing that God is FAITHFUL...He can not lie. He has promised to save me and my house. I stand on that promise! I thank my God that you are no longer suffering. This life has been a struggle for you and I sense the Peace of God all around you. God is God, He does what He pleases, who can question Him. I know that He is taking excellent care of you. I know that you and Barb are up there in Paradise. Tell my sister and my brother that I miss you all. Oh, I made sure that are last "vehicle" was blue, your favorite color.
You would be so proud of your children. The girls are strong young ladies. Angene is a delight, that's the way she's always been. She would be happy to know that you would never give her to me. You always wanted her for yourself. (As I think of it you never gave us any of your kids) The twins successfully completed their classes even with all that was going on in their lives. They are examples to me of how the prayers of the Saints avail much! Alex just attended his graduation dance this past Friday. He looked so handsome with his pink shirt and tie set. He adored you. I never wanted him to miss out on having a relationship with you. He always loved you as his mother. Take your rest now. I know that there is no longer any torment in your mind.
I remember when Ma brought you and Sherman home from the hospital. You were my baby and Wally took care of Sherman. I remember holding you while Ma worked around the house. I was responsible for you. I will always remember you as that little girl with the dirty face and arms. As I remember you I thank God for the years at 4913 McCook, they were character builders. I love you and I will never forget you.
Your big sister,
"Dub"

Hey Lil Tick, I miss you so much already. I remember the last time you were at my house, we really had a good time. Watching movies and talking, just hanging out. You probably don't know it but you were more like a sister to me. I loved you and respected you as my mother but you were more than that, you were like a best friend. I really appreciated it when you would help me wash my clothes because you didn't want me carrying them because I was pregnant. You really looked out for me. I wish you could be here for the birth of my baby boy. I will tell him all the funny stories I can remember about you. Tell Wally, Granny, and Barb I said hi. I hope yall are having fun up there. Tell them I miss them very much. I always wanted you to know that I loved you regardless of what happen in the past. I know you are a great mother and that's what you'll always be to me. I'll do my best to keep Alex and the twins in line and we'll always talk and laugh about the good times we had with you. I think about you everyday and you don't know what I'd give to see you light up with the greatest joy the minute you see me walk through the door. I wish we could go out to breakfast again and you eat all your food and mine. I really miss you Tick, it will never be the same without you. I truely belive that for every life there is a death, and for every death there is a life. Now that you're gone and I'm expecting Malik in a couple of months proves that. Once again I really miss you and I hope you are happy and free now. I love you and always will. Love Nay
