Shirley Easterling Obituary

EASTERLING, Shirley Shirley Galloway Easterling, 68, wife of Herbert M. Easterling, of Goose Creek, died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at a local hospital. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, May 21, 2006 at 3 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, North Charleston. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 until 8 o'clock this evening. Shirley was born December 18, 1937 in Adams Run, a daughter of the late Julies Galloway and Annie May Mazell Galloway. She attended schools in Adams Run and was a member of Ridge Baptist Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, the Berkeley Ladies Shrine Club, a former member of the Goose Creek Rural Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary Club and numerous other clubs in the Goose Creek community. She and her husband, Herbert have lived in the Goose Creek area for the past 47 years. Surviving in addition to her husband are: 2 sons: Kenneth M. Easterling of Goose Creek and Timmy, Easterling (Melissa) of Summerville; 4 grandchildren: Keith Easterling (Christina) of Columbia, Brittnay Easterling of North Charleston, Timmy Easterling, Jr. and Gracie Easterling both of Summerville; 1 great grandchild: Mylie Easterling of Columbia3 sisters: Lib Crosby (Bindie) of North Charleston, Jewel Dangerfield (Eddie) of Carnes Crossroads, Jean Brunson (Monroe) of Adams Run; 2 brothers: James Boots Galloway (Janice) of West Ashley, Joe Galloway ( Ruth) of Adams RunShe was predeceased by 2 sisters: Betty Galloway and Mary Overton and 1 brother: Sonny Galloway. I can not express how sad to hear of her passing. Back in the early years we had a lot of good times together. I was there when I heard the news but had to leave and could not attend the funeral. It is awful she had to leave this world the way she did,may she have ever lasting peace, I know she will be missed.

This is a first class lady. Anyone who knew her whould tell you that she is one of a kind. She will truly be missed. I loved and cherished Shirley with all my heart. Herbert is one of a kind and they were blessed to have each other. Herbert i love you too dear.
