Dear Shirley, so many times I would go to the hospital and visit with you and my dear friend. I suffered for her knowing that you were not long for this world, but I was so joyful that a mother and daughter had a loving relationship that would not end in your passing! Thank You for sharing in the Holy Eucharist and the promise that our Lord made to us "he shall wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, crying out or pain". Till we meet again, God Bless You and bring you into his everlasting light!! Christine Direnzo-Halsey

A month ago today was the hardest day of my life. If anyone would have asked me if I could ever be happy again I would have said no. It has been a long painful month struggling with the loss and also trying to come to terms with the fact that you are finally at peace. You will forever live in my heart and I have so many great memories of you to keep me going. I try to stay strong, but it is not easy. As long as you are there to guide me, I will make it through. I Love You Forever Mom.

Oh my sweet Shirls, when is this going to get easier and the tears going to stop coming everyday. I can't believe how much I miss you and how much it hurts. I wasn't expecting it to be this hard. I pray everyday for myself and my family that we can get through this and be whole again, or as whole as we can be with you gone. Please know that I love you with all my heart and miss you more than words can say. And please be with Brandon on his big day on Saturday. I know we are sad and miss you down here but you are smiling down from Heaven and are so proud of him. I keep remembering the song with the words...."God only cries for the living, cause its the living that are left to carry on. And all the angels up in Heaven, well there not grieving because there gone. There's a smile on their faces cause their in a better place than they've ever been"...I know you are in a better place and are at peace...I love you.

Love To Spare

Your love for us and my Dad,
through the good times and bad,
a love beyond death it will last,
until in Heaven we gather again,
where love pours like the falling rain.

Three daughters and a son you brought,
this group of kids must have fought,
I can't imagine it was all fun,
but it was your love and not fate,
that caused them all to turn out great!

Now you have a large family tree,
that even includes someone like me,
I'd pop in and pop out,
you'd make feel right at home,
and not so alone.

So as you go to Heaven above,
know that you take my love.

Shirls I can't believe it has been 3 weeks already. I wish I could say it is getting easier with time, but it's not. I miss you so much and feel broken and lost without you. I keep thinking of the last days we spent with you and how incredibly lucky I am to have spent them with you. I love you with all of my heart and wish you could have stayed with me forever. Ariana misses her nanny more than I can even explain and I don't know how to help her be okay with this, you were everything to her. I will love and miss you for the rest of my life Shirls. </3

I saw my first hummingbird today out my kitchen window. I thought of you, it made me smile and cry. I put your ashes where I wanted them last night, you are in my kitchen, bedroom, livingroom, and a locket to hang in my truck, so you will be with me wherever I go.I talk to you all the time because I know you hear me. I dream of you, and they are good dreams, I wake up smiling. You are happy in my dreams, all is well. I try to always hold those thoughs, they give me peace. I Love and Miss You so much
