David & Brinkley
We are friends of your grandparents, Rita and Norman Berry and are so sorry for your loss. Rita mentioned Sherri many time at the close of choir practice when we had our prayer time. We are praying that God’s comfort and peace be with you. I know that you will face many days of longing for your Mother’s presence and I pray that the love of family and friends will sustain you.
Love In Christ,

David (DB) and Brinkley,
I'm so sorry about your mom's passing. I never had the opportunity to meet her, but like Mrs. Paula said she must have been great because it shows through in the two of you. DB I met you two years ago and you have become a big brother to me. You're always there when I need you and that is a great quality to have. I'm sure you mom is very proud of you. Brinkley, we've only hung out once but I had a blast when we did and you're a great girl. I just wanted to let you both know I'm here if you need absolutely anything and I feel terrible for not making it to the service today.. but school complicated the situation. I love you both and you two as well as your family are in my prayers.
Love,
Brittany

It was hard to belive when i first herd of your passing away.I always thought that you would get better and that everything would be okay but i guess God had other plans for you. i guess God wanted you to be with him and he called you home. You were such a good teacher but you were also so much more to many of your students, you were someone they could come to when they needed help with their homework or someone that they could come and talk to about anything and everything . Your strength and courage to continue teaching was an inspiration to everyone around you. When you walked into a room full of people everyone knew because you had such a precious spirit. You will be greatly missed by all your students and by everyone who knew you.Rest In Peace Mrs. Berry.

We Love you

Mrs. Berry was an amazing person. She was always there for me when I needed her. She was more than a teacher to me, she was a best friend. She and I had our days of disagreement, And it feels like just yesterday when I was sitting in her classroom, anxious to learn.I loved being a student in her class. No one will EVER forget her kindness, and her loving soul. I will miss her, and I know many others who will too.

Brinkley & family,
Mrs. Berry was more than a teacher to me. We had our days where we didn't agree but she always knew how to talk to me to get me to understand where she was coming from and really made History interesting. She saw me going down the wrong path and put me back on the right path and taught me more in life than just History. She was not only my teacher or one of my best friends mom, she was someone I could look up to. I am who I am today because some of the life lessons she taught me. She was an amazing women and I will never forget her. Brinkley, I love you to death and know that I am here if you need anything. I can even make you another cake and I promise I won't drop it on your front porch! =]

Through a bulletin posted on a Summerville resident's myspace page, I learned of Sherri's battle with cancer and death. I am so sorry! I remember her years ago from FNB Holly Hill, where she waited on my mother and me. Let's face it, a name like Sherri Berry stands out! She was so pleasant, so bright-eyed and positive. I didn't know she'd become a teacher until reading the myspace bulletin this weekend. I was hoping they weren't the same Sherri Berry, but.... I was shocked to learn that she wasn't that much older than I am - about four and a half years! She was too young; I'm so sorry for your loss!

David,

We were very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. And even though Mr. Dennis & I didn't know your Mom, we know that she had to be a good person to raise you to be the great young man that you are. Since you & Matt started working together at the Sportsman Shop and we awoke one morning to find all 6+ feet of you on our couch, you have grown to become a part of our family. So remember that you & your sister are always welcome in our home (and the homes of the rest of our family or in some hotel in Myrtle Beach - wherever we're hanging out). So please let us know if there's anything that we can do or if there's anything ya'll need. We'll be keeping you & all of your family in our thoughts & prayers!

Mrs. Paula & Mr. Dennis

I heard about Sherri's passing as I left for work on Sunday. I almost didn't go, but realized that I have my wonderful job because of Sherri. She was my mentor in my teaching program and encouraged me in my role as a museum educator. Every person that leaves my museum having learned something is because of Sherri's influence. She was a great teacher and amazing person. She will be missed.

When I think of Sherri, I think of kindness. Sherri was always encouraging and uplifting. She always treated people equally and with great respect, never wanting to offend. She always looked for the good in people. I never heard her put anyone down or judge. She loved to read, I never could mention a book that she hadn't already read. She was a fantastic cook (best lasagna I have yet to taste.)She was so creative. I will treasure every gift she made me. She did not want to merely teach, she wanted to show each student that there is a joy in knowledge. She loved her students. She had a true gift for teaching. She was a wonderful Mother. She gave David and Brinkley her all.Because of her love and support, David and Brinkley are wonderful kids. She was my friend and my sister in law. I'll miss you and I Love you, Lorie

Dear Family of Sherri Berry, I was so sorry to hear of Sherris passing.
Brinkley and David, you probably do not remember me but I worked with your Mom at FNBSC (Sangaree Branch). She was a great boss and taught me alot about dealing with people. She always said to use your PHD(preserve human dignity) and she lived by that. She was a brave woman and I hope you know that you were the most important thing in her life. I lost my husband, Joel,2 yrs ago. Our boys were 26 and 21. I know what you are going through. You will have alot of offers for help....take them. If there is anything I can do please let me know. I loved your Mom like a sister. Jean H. Sweat
