Sheila Burris Obituary
BURRIS, Sheila Entered into eternal rest on the evening of May 6, 2006, Sheila Johnson Burris, wife of M. Clyde Burris, Jr. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. M. Clyde Burris, Jr. are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial of the latter, Wednesday, May 10, 2006 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at ten o'clock. Rite of Committal, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Tuesday between five and seven o'clock where the Rosary will be recited at six o'clock. Mrs. Burris was born October 11, 1942 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Joseph W. Johnson, Jr. and Betty Holst Johnson. She was a graduate of Rivers High School and devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of Charleston, SC; her Father of Charleston, SC; one daughter: Kimberly B. McClellan and her husband Jason of Detroit, MI; two sons; C. Joseph Burris and his wife Toni of Bonneau Beach, SC and Kelly David Burris and his wife Penny of Charleston, SC; one sister: Sherry Johnson Mahoney and her husband Hal of James Island, SC; 10 grandchildren: C.J., Nicholas, Cali, Matthew, Ben, Bradley, Sarah, Kaya, Connor, and Emily. She is pre-deceased by her Mother. Memorials may be made to Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy, P.O. Box 21833, Charleston, SC 29413 or to American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406. I started emailing Sheila, and we had a wonderful telephone conversation, laughing and talking about the reunion. I am glad I had a chance to catch up.
