My dearest friend, oh how I miss you now. The sadness than envelopes me is so heartbreaking. What will I do without you to lean on, to share my joy and sadness. You have been my best friend for almost fourty years. What will I do without you? I know you're in Heaven now with your Toni and my Shelley. I'll see you there when the Lord takes me home. 'Til then I will treasure your memories and keep them close to my heart forever.
Your loving friend, Patsy

The Rose of Sharon

It has been a long hard journey folks
Nevertheless, I've had some some weary days...

I often felt like the Rose of Sharon sitting high amongst the thorns...
In addition, sometimes the rough winds have trampled over me...
Causing me to feel like a Bittern gently singing a mournful song...

Other times, I felt like a Grasshopper in an appletree,
However, the taste of fruit sometimes went from sweet to bitter....

So by daylight like a dove..
I began to search in secret places in the corridors,
for whom my soul loved...
But when searching there
I found you not...
Therefore I decided to wait patiently for thee...

Like a Butterfly I have flown high amongst the clouds...

Like a Bee I have gone into the garden to gather sweet honeysuckle from the trees,
and in the midst of the garden
I took a moment to collect my thoughts of how I would express myself too thee...

Then Suddenly!
I became very tired, therefore I slept..
Nevertheless, in time my heart did awake to hear the angels calling me from a distance...

At that very moment I knew that like the grass that wilts away,
then rises again in the spring,
I too would soon pass..

Precious Lord,
You knelt down and gently took my hand,
to lead me too a place where all the difficulties of this world will cease...

To a place where I can fly away and be at rest...
To a place where all the pain and fearfullness that has come upon me will escape into the clouds...

As I cross that River of Jordan..
Just give me the rain and let it sing me a melody...
Just give me the sweet sounds of psaltery,
with harps, violins and lyres...

Finally Lord,
When I have reached the stairways to Heaven..
May you crown me with your glory,
and with an ornament of your grace...
Be fair my Lord, Be fair with me...
