Shane Wade Obituary

WADE, Shane UNION, SC - Mr. Joseph Shane Wade, age 35, husband of Laurel Lifrage Wade of 336 River Hills Rd. Union, died Sunday Sept 4, 2005 at 8:40 AM in Wallace Thomson Hospital. Mr. Wade was born in Union, May 6, 1970, a son of Joe and Sandy Belue Wade of Union. He was a member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church. He graduated from Union High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist College on a baseball scholarship. He coached for Dixie Girls Softball League in Union for 5 years, taking his winning team from regional to state and then to the World Series in Muscle Shoals, AL in 2003. He also was an Upward Basketball coach at Tabernacle Baptist Church. At fourteen, Shane, himself played in the Dixie Pony League World Series. Shane actively supported the Youth in Union County giving generously of his time coaching various sports. He was a longtime, dedicated Clemson fan, a loving son, husband and father. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are a daughter, Logan Adair Wade, of the home, two sons: Jeremy Seth Wade and Nicholas Blake Wade of the home; one brother: Scott Wade and wife Denise of Jonesville; one sister: Brandy Wilson and husband David of Union; three nieces: Kaigan Wilson of Union, Blake Alexander and Kendra Smith both of Jonesville; his maternal grandparents: Lillie Mae and Roy Frost of Union; his paternal grandfather, William Wade of Union; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Binky and Eileen Manes of Spartanburg and Geoff and Phyllis Lifrage of Kingstree; two sisters-in-law: Tamra Lifrage and Hayley Fust; one brother-in-law: Drew Maness. Mr. Wade was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Thelma Wade and his maternal grandfather, Russell Belue, Jr. Funeral services will be held 4:30 PM Tueday at Duncan Acres United Methodist Church b y Rev. Rev. Tommy Bailey and Rev. Randy Burgess. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Holcombe Funeral Home.
