16 Jan 2016. I just learned of the tragic news. I am so sorry of Scott's loss. We both served at MSST MIAMI (91114) and we both had the priviledge of being the plankowners of that unit. Which meant that we were the first ones to be assigned to that unit. I am so sorry that we lost him at a young age. Many people think of Scott as their hero. He did a lot of great things for many while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. & Mrs. Gary King he was a good man and he did a lot great things for many. Blessings to all the family members as we all grieve during during this difficult time! My condolences. Rest in Peace my brother/shipmate. CARLOS MARTINEZ, CWO4/BOSN USCGRET.

Scott left us far too soon, my absence to the funeral does not reflect how I feel for you or my love for you. We've been through a lot together, good times and bad. You will be missed dearly, love you.
